Couple Of Quick Questions

not v. good with gold fish! one of ours a ranchu..think..no top fin...is bloated think sb. and also I think he looks a bit pine coney...dropsy is it...dont want to med him less sure...and if so is it contagious? sorry for quick questions but am in a rush!

Are his scales sticking out and his eyes 'popping' out too?? If so its most likely dropsy and he'd be better seperated to a hospital tank for treatment... If he's not displaying the above symptoms then I'd try starving him for a day or two then feed either with pea or daphnia to clear him out. Meantime a dosing of aquarium salt will help.
