Couple Of Pics From (temporary) Pond

This was set up as a joke and has ran for over 2 years now.....

It's a £25 paddling pool with large pots submerged for planting. Started off for tadpoles and my bog plants and changed to a planted pond with sarassa's and shubunkins. Only real expense was the internal combined uv and filter, bulk of nitrates being absorbed by the plants, which I got for a bargain of £49.99 in a clearance sale at a local garden center.

No..they've survived 2 winters so far, even when it freezes over.....surprised it never freezes solid myself,lol.............

At the back left is that Hosta planted in the water as a marginal? Didn't know you could do that, may try it out.
