if my mum and dad platies r both orange, wil my babes b the same colour? or wil there colour very? the babies r 4 days old, when wil i kno wat colour they wil b and when can i find out the sex? thanks xx

You'll know what color they will be when you see the color on them... as for sexing them.. depends how fast they grow.. could be around 6 weeks-2 months.

sometimes it can vary, sometimes a mix can have a reccesive trait and the parents could be a holder of it, but usually it's the same color.

i've been learning about triats and genes in science, lol

If the parents are both the same color you will probably have same colored fry. But for instance I have some fry from a blue mother and orange father and have some orange fry, some blue fry and suprisingly some orange with blue hue fry. Its neat when it happens like that cuz you never know what your gonna get!
