im thinking on getting 6 female mollies and would like to see your molly females and want to know if i could probably get them at a lfs thanks

Best way to tell them apart from males, is the anal fin. It's triangular in females and generally held open. Males usually hold theirs close to their bodies and it has a different shape.
All stores that sale fish generally have mollies, they're are quite the staple, like guppies and neons.

Although i do like mollies i dont have any because there only seems to be 4 varieties. Black , dalmation, gold dust and white. And i like to mix to see colorful babies you know? But they are cute and big.

You can get leopard mollies too, orange with black speckles like a leopard, eh but i suggest if your new to them, i would go with black or dalmation as they are the most friendly ones, and there are no 2 fish alike unless there identicle twins, which is rare in fish but can happen so i suggest picking the one you seem attractive in your lfs i would also suggest adding some salt to the tank as most fish trive with a tablespoon of aquarium salts Good luck

Right proof there are different coloured females

My half yellow/black female mollie who had a batch of 15 fry 4 days ago and still looks as huge as she was when she popped

My copper coloured female who had a batch 8 days ago

And I have more females ( black, silver , Dalmatian )

And add 6 males that are orange, silver , Dalmatian

And you'll end up with fry like these

And yes I have lots of orange fry some are even pure orange and I've got grey and orange fry.

She is especially when I paid £4.50 for her alone and I've had 8 fry out of her and they are half silver and a sortve grey colour so hopfully they change to a copper colour
