Could We Have A Diy Section?

Id like to ask a question on DIY but theres nowhere to put it.
Weve just bought our house and would like to do some of the work ourselves but need input from anyone if they do their own DIY to help.

Any chance??

I was thinking in the hobbies section as well but maybe there isnt the demand for DIY and home furnishings, or am i being too girly as it seems to be a male dominated board, though I always though DIY was a male pastime?

My wife has done more DIY projects with me than I can count. Any woman who can drywall a ceiling is a keeper.

I think a home improvement section would be great.

But a Home improvement site would be handy

In the US home and garden are often closely related topics, the garden forum is a rather slow one so it could be changed to a home and garden forum and get more traffic and relivent traffic all at the same time.

Congrats on your new house, I would recomend that your next purchase me a saw of some sort, Table saw if you'll be making book cases, band saw if its chairs you fancy, or both also, if you get a table saw and want to be so scared that you never touch it ever just pm me an Email adress and I'll send you a picture that will make your toenails curl, my hand about a year ago!
