Could They Pair Or Have They Decided No?

Got myself a wild caught male and female apistogramma nijsseni a few weeks back and as pairing goes, it's not looking too good.
The male 'strikes' at the female pretty often but as they're still very small at about the size of a cardinal, she's got plenty of places to hide.

Just wondering could they still possibly pair up eventually?

Yes, they are both quite young and females tend to take a little longer to mature in my experience.
