would a indo dat be any good

as they dont seem to bad in price

yes

i got all day its a snowday

or what about a micropelis

an indo dat is microlepis, twhich is what i have. i haven't had him too long and am certainly no expert, from your stocking as far as i can work out, as long as they are all about 5-6" or so 1 should be ok, but bare in mind they can get well over a foot in which case would probably try and eat things over half its own size.
they are beautiful fish, definitely one of my favourites, which is why i want sme more, my lfs can get more. cheap, but they are small. i don't have anywhere to put small ones to grow on as my 100 litre has some small fish in that would just become live food!
if that one in the classified section is near you then se how much you can get it for. they range in price quite a lot, bigger ones certainly aren't cheap! i got mine for £30 i think, and its about 6 inch, but thats because i know the gy who owns the lfs and he did a deal with the wholesalers for it.
if you could get that one for aroud that then it would be really good but quite possibly could be quite a bit more.

cool that one n classifies is 119 miles away too

but theres a 8 inch one that hand feeds within 15 miles of me but its 80 pounds which is too much for me at the moment

also he has silver dats that are 6 inches and he wants 40 for each one which is abit better

so i supose what im asking is would a silver be better

well silver tigers are brackish, some people keep them in freshwater, but some salt is meant to be better for them. there is always datnioides undecimradiatus? the thin bar dat, i know pier aquatics have them in quite cheap, if you can find one privately or near you they would be ok. they are less robust than others like the microlepis bt are still beautiful fish and i plan on getting one this year sometime.
the silver dats aswel, imo are less impressive than their golden cousins, have a look around, or even better just wait for one you want to come along, i hate waiting for things but sometimes its just better!

Love Datnoides , problem i guess you might have is getting a large one as they grow pretty slowly.

yeah i mean there is the one near me but 80 pounds is just too much thanks ill see what i can do
