I have some amano shrimps in my betta tank, and I love them, they are great to watch.

I was wondering about adding some shrimps, maybe cherry shrimps this time, to my larger tank. I am not sure if it's a good idea, because I am pretty fully stocked already, but then again I believe that shrimps don't really add to the bioload.

Stocking is shown in my sig below.

I was wondering about maybe 6-8 cherry shrimps?

Based on this stocking: 3 female platys, 3 male guppys, 4 x-ray tetras, 5 otos, 1 BN plec I would say Cherry shrimp will be fine. Any babies they have will probably be eaten by the platys, guppys and tetras but the adults should be fine in there.

Your right about them not having much bio load so you could add a group of 10 easily.

Plus it would be a nice addition to the tank. Ive seen cherry shrimp at my LFS, really nice and fun to watch :good:
