I have a 55 gallon aquarium with some tetras, swordtails and a molly. I also have 3 angel fish in there. I did have 4 in there but they started ripping the 4th one apart so now she is in a 10 gallon by herself and seems quite happy there. My angle fish are mean!! They don't just chase the other fish they kill them or damage them quite badly. I have put a seperator in one end and have ONE angel fish in there. The other 2 angel fisht that are left in the bigger part are always trying to fight with the one that I seperated ... they really bang into the seperator (plastic insert with holes in it... got it at Walmart). My mom said she had Angel fish while she was growing up and never saw them get mean. Is it normal for them to be this mean?? I know for sure that 2 out of the 3 are females as they have laid eggs... the 3rd one isn't mature enough yet. The one I have in the 10gallon is also a female as she laid eggs. I know they can become aggressive when they lay their eggs... they try to protect them.... but these Angels fight constantly. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions??

They are probably letting the other fish be, as mine do, but fight with each other, as you have the problem with. So it isn't that, Do you have another tank with no fish or no angels in it 30 gallons +

Angels are cichlids which mean they will fight your problem is that you need more angels to spread the aggresion around but it is probably too late for that so you best bet is to get more tanks to house them in or get rid of three and keep one as a centerpiece or if you have a mated pair just keep those two and get rid of the other two. IMO

No I don't have any other tanks.... I do have someone who might be interested in taking 2 of them, but I wanted to check and see if I had other options first. I really appreciate both of your inputs! Thank you!!
