Could A 3kg Pub Co2 Bottle Work On My Jbl Regulator

Hi i'm having trouble getting my 500g jbl bottle refilled ( it takes 2/3 weeks ) . i have acquired a black 3kg pub style bottle which seems to be full. my jbl regulator fits ok but i'm a bit scared to open the valve on the bottle. would the pressure be the same as a 500g bottle or does it matter what size the bottle is
Any help would be great
Also have anyone tried the
(Threaded Converter) Converts regulators from disposable bottles to refillable bottles i know jbl cost about £16 d&d £8 and aquili £8 think these are all the same if anyone has used one are they any good or more to the point do they work thanks Paul s

The 3kg will be pressurised the same as the 500g when full, at a little over 50Bar. A lot of people use CO2 fire extinguishers as well.
