This is now a new challenge to try 'n post 2 pictures at the same time, but here goes... The Brown stand takes 6 x homemade tanks and the Blue one 6 x 3ft standard 3ft tanks...... I'l place the rest later if this one works

Right Piltdownpaul..... These are topviews of 2 of the 5 heated ponds that I have.....The top one is a variety of fish and the bottom one is a brood of (approximately) 1,500 Cosby Gouramis, about 4 months old. (The other 3 x ponds still need to be stocked)

1.) Piltdownpaul..... Nice setup you have.
2.)SF05........Naw..... Not selling. The little "village" that I live in has a few 1 tank "enthusiasts" and only one petshop not really specializing in fish, so no real market for them locally. I also live almost 300km. from the bigger centres where I might get rid of them at a price not worth the petrol to take them there. I ocassionally swop at the petshop for a heater here and a pump there, but I think all tanks in town are stocked with at least 2 or 5 of my Gouramis, so I'm saturated locally.
3.) catfish101..... My biggest glass tank is a mere 4ft standard tank (had a 2meter x 1.5meter x 1meter deep tank before I downscaled - due to the limited market) I also have 5 of these 4ft x 4ft x 3ft deep heated ponds (like the one containing the Gouramis) The most fish in any of them are the guppies.... Almost (I'm not counting) 8 000 of them and reproducing daily.... Use them as feeder fish to the convicts - not to condition them, cause males & females separated to stop them from breeding. Also take scoops of them & feed the common goldfish once per week just to apply them for some useful cause. That's why I,m looking for something useful to breed (see "Spontaneous breeders") posted by me a coupla days ago, so that the trip to Johannesburg or Pretoria will at least compensate for the petrol consumed to transport them.

NottsFishy.... I'm under correction , but I think they are called "Trichogaster Trichopterus" with the "Tri" prefix revering to the 3 spots i.e one spot on the tail... one in the centre of the body and the third being the eye. They are also commonly known as either 3 spot Gouramis.... Blue Gouramis, and the specific variety which I'm showing in my first pic (where the centre black spot has spread into black markings) the "Cosby" gourami. (You'll probably know them as blue gouramis.)

Dave my friend.... you wouldn't want to know about the electricity bill!!... and today an anouncement was made by our electricity supplier (ESCOM) about a 57% increase in rate..... Suppose I'll have to consider fancy goldfish varieties??(4kW heaters (geyser elements) in each of the 5 ponds alone)
About the cleaning.... I'm one of the old school (amateur) breeders that still believes in a dirty, well cultered/matured tank, for successful breeding. (one of the reasons why I have not yet posted pictures of the remainder of my setup) Some forum members would take me to task. 2 thirds water changes are done every 2 weeks alternatively and that's the only maintenance input from my side. I'll consider myself as reasonably successful breeder - 35 different species to date - and this is my method. - but keep it between you & me.... don't tell anyone.
