Hey everyone,

I have a nice, empty, 30 gallon, and I was thinking of putting in some cory's- I have never had them, but know that people love there cory's :p
So I was thinking- what do you think for a 30 gallon? I'm looking for a fairly small, pretty, peacful cory that minds there own buissness (not aggresive to other tank-mates). Also, what are some good tankmates for Cory's?

Love to have advice on Corydoras if you have any...

Cheers, Zophie :good:

Almost all corys are very peaceful. Most of them get to around 3-4" in size. IMO they are really great fish, always scouting around the tank. You could keep quite a few in a 30 gallon.

Lots of people(including myself) have kept corys with a betta, which works out very well. Mostly because corys are bottom-dwellers, so the betta sees no huge threat.

I have kept albino, peppered, and panda corys, and albinos don't get as large and pandas also seem to be everyones favorite. I really like peppered and panda myself BTW. :good:

Has already said corys are pretty peaceful and mind their own business :)

My corys on average are all around 2 inches, pandas smaller whilst the albinos are more chunky at around 2-3 inches.
Trilineatus(three line cory) normally mis-sold has julii's and pandas are cute, small and active, well they all are including my golds, blacks & skunks also

Depends on what stocking you want in there with them, they only fish i would advise not to keep with them is cichlids...

Corys prefer sand and temperatures in the low to mid 70's.

Thanks for the replys, guys :good: I have a few Cory questions...

1. Can you tell me a little bit about Skunk Cory's? I really like the size and look of them.

2. Harlequins.. why is it not advisable to keep Cichlids with them? Just wondering... :p

3. I have a fairly aggresive betta, who flares at fish in the tank next to him. Would it be safe to put Cory's in with him or not?

Thanks for the info, guys!

P.S. Are Albino Cory's less healthy then normal ones?
