hi again

why does my bronze cory swims up and down the side of my tank? sometimes, it seems to be hovering in mid section of the tank. i thought they are suppose to be bottom feeders? there should not be any aeration problem in my tank coz i have 2 systems working on it.

Is he new to the tank? When I first put an albino cory in my 10G he did the same thing. Was always swimming up and down the glass. He also swam side to side and wiggled back and forth as he swam. He also never seemed to rest, he was in constant motion. It was weird, none of my other cories acted that. After about 2 weeks he settled into the tank and now schools with the other cories and naps under a castle.

oh yes, he's new to the tank. so thats the case...i thought i might have a situation here. i'll just observe him for the next few days to make sure everything is fine! thanks alot! :D

You should be fine. I just moved mine into a larger tank and while he was calm and boring a few days ago he's flipping out now. They tend to calm down after a few days.

i wouldn't worry, my pandas are constantly all over the place. they run up and downthe glass, up and over the rocks, all over. they are very active for cories.

My corys are constantly roaming all around the tank. They suddenly leap towards the surface ( to get a gulp of air I think) and then settle down to food searching again. I think its normal cory behavior. :fish:
