There is a nice mixed school , of 2 older ones, and 6, that I added to this tank, when I set it up… they came as lil 1/2 inch long fish, when I got them, I was glad the older and younger joined together… seems like they were 1/2 inch babies just yesterday, but it’s been long enough, I have difficulty telling them apart now… these are not anything special or unusual, they are albino aeneus, they are in my Cichlid tank, and unlikely any eggs would survive, I suspect the Apisto’s would relish finding them, since they spend the bulk of their time in the tighter spaces… this dancing tells me my lil babies have grown up…

I got a trio of Apistogramma nijsseni juveniles, a while back… they have been fine, for the last 3-4 months… it was discussed that the 3rd fish, 2nd female would be killed, but both females are often seen swimming together, but the tank is not set up for them to spawn…
I’m not sure why Dan’s sold trio’s back when I got them??? Maybe they just had too many females??? As long as there is enough cover/ line of sight breaks, they have been fine together… maybe a trait of the nijsseni, but the male seems to go back and forth between both females, and, while the females, normally have different places they hang out, they seem to tolerate each other, when they meet, as they swim around… this in a 45 gallon tall tank…
