my gold and green striped corys are about an inch now and i think if any local people who would like some can fetch them. they are still too small to post i think and i dont want to while its cold anyway. if anyone is interested then let me know :good:

Matt

price for both please mate?
Hi mate i was thinking about £4.50 for the golds and £7.50 for the greens.... im not really sure about the prices as these will be the first i have for sale!
i bought my greens for £17.50 each that were still quite young and i paid £9 each for the golds so ive gone about half price or less ish...!
i have several lfs wanting them but would rather they go to people on here as i know/hope they will get a good loving home.
the more fish people want the cheaper i will do them.

I wish i lived closer

Good luck with selling them :good:
thanks, do you think thats a fair price? i dont want to over price them but i know they cost alot from lfs....

The golds are a reasonable price but the greens ive brought from private sellers for £4.50 each for around 6 month old fish, just curious to how young yours were when you purchased?, seems they spawned not long after having them which would make them mature and probably at least 12 months plus old.

Ive also purchased the much more hard to obtain red stripes wild caught and nearly 12 months old for £7.50 from private importers, just to give a better idea for you on prices when private sellers sell them :good:

Yes i think thats fair, when you think a lot of the more common cories are around £4-£5 in some lfs, yours are alot harder to get hold of,and at least people know they have been well cared for by you :)

the greens that have spawned are the ones i got from a private breeder for about £15 each and are much bigger than the ones i recently bought from sweet knowle aquatics for £17.50 each but they share the same tank, the newest ones are still too young and i would guess they are about 7-9 months old going on the growth rate of mine. its hard to say as they grow quite slowly.
there are red stripes available from Jo at rare aquatics for about £14 each, i was going to get some a while back but decided to get the greens. these are my first cory sales so having not sold any before i didnt know where to start and didnt think it was too bad a starting price... i was offered greens that were about the age of mine maybe a month older for £9 each from a well known breeder.
thanks for the advice though mate :good:

Fair enough mate, if they sell for the price you are selling... then all good :), just thought i would give average prices that i have either seen or brought them at. the last time i seen green stripes at a lfs it was a maiden head which had them listed at £9.99 or 3 for £25 at quite a reasonable size, the golds are quite cheap from a few sources ive found.

Yes Jo did sell them at £13.99 i think, now they are on special for £7.50 she also used to sell them on ebay for £7. Ive got other sources for that cory also for around the £7 mark.

I also was offered around the size you are selling from probably the most reliable source in the UK if not globe for £5 a fish and golds for £2.50 but again if you sell them at the price you list them at it's all good :good:

Anyways good luck with the selling and any price isn't going to take away how beautiful these cory's are :good:

wish i was closer. would it cause any problems breeding the babies that you are selling, would their babies be deformed?

cheers :good:
