I have had 3 Peppered Corys for about 3 months now and a couple of days ago I noticed that they had some white marks on the top of their fins, at first I feared that maybe it was fin rot as thier fins were looking a little bit torn but I kept an eye on them and soon noticed that the smallest male Rosie Barb was constantly nipping at thier fins even when being fed he doesn't bother about the food and just searches the tank looking for a cory to pick on.

Does anyone have any suggestions/advice?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

20 Gallon Tank (UK)
5 Tiger Barbs
5 Rosie Barbs
7 Mixed Danios
3 Peppered Corys

If theres bullying between the barbs and corys theres little you can do to stop it other than separate them- given that, your tank is quite small for such an array of highly active and often nippy fish, the agression may simply be out of fustration from lack of swimming space- upgrading the tank to a 30gal+ in any case would be a good idea when you can, to give your fish more space- what sorts of danios do you have?
Do the corys have any cover in the tank like planted areas and caves that gives them a fair amount of space to explore in and not just hide by?

Thanks for your reply the danios are only the small varieties (zebras and leopards) I must admit to knowing that putting such active fish together was a risk but I always thought that the tigers would be the problem and that Rosie Barbs were quite a peaceful and if anything the corys hide under the Tigers for cover.

There is a fair amount of cover in the tank a large cave and mopani wood in the shape of another cave with Java ferns dotted around the tank but this one Rosie just swims from one hiding space to the other looking for trouble.

Thanks Tokis
