Corys Barbels Are Warn Off

I have 4 albanio corys and 2 leapord corys
Well today I noticed that the albanio corys were losing their barbs and 2 have lost all of the barb
what could this be from?

What sort of substrate have you?Is it rough or sharp?Or is it dirty?

I vaccum it every week and the gravel isnt rough enough because I have had them for over a year?
I think it is my firemouth picking on them over shrimp pellets? Could a fish bite them off?
