I saw on a website , a breeder was selling pygmie corys and said they were good to keep in the newly hatched betta fry tank because they wouldnt harm the fry and would clean up. Yeah i know they are harmless, but if they suck a fry in their mouth they may could swallow it with out meaning to. so have any of you experianced breeders done this? If this is a common practice, this will be an awesome thing for me since I love the pygmies and bettas.

I am in the process of setting up my grow out tanks and stands so far I have the plexiglass to make 7 , 120 gallon tanks. then i will start on my betta barracks. I am gathering all of the info I can now. I plan on becoming top shelf breeder like some of the breeders here like Wuv and BKK and the rest...I am sure I will screw up a bit though ;) thank God for these forums

Hi rollntider :)

I don't know about bettas, but in this instance I suspect that they are much like gouramis. The fry are at the top of the tank.

Sure, if there is a fry on the bottom, the corys will probably eat it. But, this includes dead ones, which is probably a good thing.
