Hi, just saw one of my corys in my tank and it was lying on its back like it was dead. i put my net in and when i touched it the cory gets up and swims away.

Do corys normally do this or what?

No, not normal at all. What are your water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate), what size tank and how many cories?

all on zero. PH around 7.2

I have 4 corys: 2 peppered and 2 panda.

Any kind if discoloration or redness? Swelling or sunken stomach? Was it one of the Peppered or Pandas? Pandas tend to be the more fragile cories as well, More easily affected by bacterial infections.

it was a panda cory and it sadly died. so i bought a new peppered cory and its doing fine so far. Although, i nearly lost quite a few fish the other day as my congo's were just about swimming and falling on the gravel and my parrot fish was resting on my bogwood. my peppered corys were also rubbing. I've now added some methylene blue but i'm unsure if i need to add more than the one treatment. :/
