i would like some assistance and advice on breeding my corydoras sterbai.
is this an easy to breed species of cory? or will i have a tough time getting them to spawn?

i am, however, hoping to get some dwarf cichlids to spawn in the same tank. would this distract the corys from spawning?

i kno the spawning techniques are opposite, lower temp for corys, higher temp for cichlids, but i have that all figured out. i have a smaller tank for the cichlids to be moved to when lowering the temperature, which i'm hoping would too enduce spawning as this smaller tank is placed in a less busy room.
however, i was going to go for the ice cube method but do i turn my heater off or keep it on when putting the ice cubes in?
once i've got this cracked, hopefully i will have spawning corys in the morning.

heres the questions:
1) how long before turning the lights off should i add the ice cubes?
2) i have a 20gallon tank, how many ice cubes should i add?
3) i understand that corydoras eggs are hard so would that prevent the cichlids from eating them? i mean, i have no intention of adding them back to the bigger tank until the fry have hatched and grown a little but if i urgently had to, would it be safe?
4) finally, is it obvious that the cichlids would eat the cory fry upon being placed back into the bigger tank?

thanks, there may be a few more questions in time :shifty:

i just do daily changes lowering the temperature with colder water normally take it from aroud 26 to 23/24 depending seems to do the job for my c aeneus albino corys, however i have never bred sterbai so things maybe different
