what do you guys think about these i think they get a tad bigger then most! but i think they look quite cool and may look into getting some!

and may as well combine questions, thinking of getting some panda corys .... easy to breed? since im gonna set up a specialist tank for them, a smallish 10 gallon.

i also have a 15 gallon that i could use for them as well!

barbatus are a nice catfish to get. They are meant to grow to 4inches or there about but normally they only get to about 3 inches. The males have longer pectoral fin spines and go black when mature at about 2 years. The females stay mottled/marbled.
Once established in a tank they do really well.

Pandas are nice as well but don't get as big. Most cories are easy to breed if in good condition. Make sure they are mature and well fed on frozen and live foods and do massive water changes once a week. The big water change stimulates them and encourages spawning activity.

The male Scleromystax barbatus has a gold bar down the top of the head. He is more colorful than the female who remains a rather dull greyish, imo so far. He will darken at maturity, but has the colorful gold bar and gold spots and markings. He also has handsome bristles.

The male is agressive with other males They should be kept as a pair with only one male. The dominant male can inflict serious damage even killing the weaker male at breeding time. In addition they prefer very chilly water--60-66 degrees F. and and soft acidic water. While they can be kept at different water parameters, the eggs will have trouble hatching.

Once pandas start spawning they spawn frequently. The farm bred will often not spawn or will be weak. The wild caught can be slower to start. They also take longer to mature generally than say peppers or C. aeneus.
