hi,
I have 3 small corydoras albinos they're small like 1inch +- and I've noticed that they will nip at plants and in some cases eat a portion of a leaf, now they're not destroying the plants but I've just noticed that parts of a leaf or two was missing and my wife has actually seen them eat a chunk of a leaf.
now I'm not sure what the plants are but after doing some research on google I've noticed that others have seen this too and apparently it's very healthy for them... I just don't know what to beleive.

thanks.

sorry just to add that I have no snails or no other fishes in that 20G tank.
thanks.

Hi welcome to the forum!
What food are you feeding them?

hi,
I just got them on sunday but I'm giving them bottom feeding sinking food basically since yesterday and the first time I put a piece in my aquarium they stopped at that food for maybe 5 minutes eating it... when they were done I removed the food out of the water because I don't want it to stay there and pollute the water, I have a small 20G tank.

since this morning I'm taking a piece and breaking it into smaller pieces and giving them a smaller piece they can actually finish so that I won't have to go get it out of the water.

also if you know how many times do you feed corys? how about a small quantity in the morning and another small quantity at the evening?

thanks.

Hi i was just thinking that they might have been hungry.
I feed mine sinking pellets once a week but they always get bitts of the live and frozen foods i feed my other fish.
If i were you i would give them a pice of the sinking pellet every other.

I think that's what I'm going to do. I'm new to all this and I'm learning.
I'll feed them with pellets because they don't really get any fish food at the bottom of the tank so maybe you're right maybe it's because they were hungry.
I've done so much reading and I'm affraid of over feeding so maybe I'm not feeding enough I hear so much about "do not over feed never never ever" that maybe I'm scared and don't feed enough :)
I'll give them more food and see if they eventually stop chewing on leaves.

thank you for your comments.
