I've been considering getting an aeneus species tank (5-6) and was wondering what to feed them. Sinking algae tablets, I figured, would be the supplement but I was wondering if they would like veggies. They are all home grown. I can offer peas - although those wouldn't be home grown, but frozen - carrots, zucchini, lettuce, spinach, cucumber and pretty much everything else. Do they like this? Also, is there a good live food (cultured) they like?

Mine eats green beans, squash, cucumber, and flake food. He loves those vacation blocks too.

I feed our cories shrimp pellets, frozen bloodworm's, frozen shrimp, catfish chips. In live food they love daphnia, brine shrimp, bloodworms, black worm, white worms, grindal worms.

:D

So, would this diet be too much?
Veggies
Pellets of some sort, (sinking algae, shrimp? )
And frozen bloodworms. I might culture them some worms if I have the time.

Not at all and getting them a treat of live foods every couple weaks or so would be great in combination with what you just listed. Cory's arent fussy eaters so as long as you feed them nutritional food they'll do just fine.

Hi K.J. :)

Corys should have their basic diet of a meaty food such as live blackworms or tubifex or frozen bloodworms, a good brand of flake food, and some vegetable matter such as algae wafers.

Garden produce is OK, as long as they will eat it and you feed it in addition to, not instead of, their basic diet. :D
