Hi

I got 2 leopard cories, 2 julli cories and a bronze cory in a communtiy tank of tropical fish mixture of platies, swords and i discovered that my 1 leopard has damage his left fin as he is not using it at all, it looks like where the fin attaches itself to the body it looks like its popped out!!!! all the fin rays are all attached and in good condition, he is swimming round normally and scouting for food.

Just wanted to know if he will be ok? I'm not sure if one of my swords or male platy has had him as they can be quite agressive at times.

I will be getting a 6ft tank at some point as dad is building a new garage and i'm pestering him for some space in there for a few more tanks :p :D :p i just need to save my dosh and keep buttering up my dad :D and find a good deal for a 6ft tank with all the extras.

As long as it is eating and swimming around ok then it will be fine, corys are remarkably hardy little fish. The injury will probably heal its self over time.

Good luck on getting your own way with your dad, better make sure you get him something good for christmas

:fish: I have an albino cory that is well over seven and a half years old(he was an older fish when I got him at that time). This albino has been missing his dorsal fin and eightyfive percent of his right fin for a few years now, yet, he is one of my more active corys. So don't worry too much, because as they say, corys are some hardy little devils. :drink:
