Hi

I thought i would add a couple of peppered cory to my tank, they have been in there about a month now. They were eating fine, now there not, they are swimming around like normal. I feed them half a sinking wafer a day as flake also falls to the floor, i usualy break the whole wafer up into quaters and put 2 quarters in. I am going to get another peppered cory on wednesday.

Thanks.

What kind of wafer are you feeding them?
Are you sure they are not eating well? Since they are most active at night... they could be eating when you are asleep. The like to be fed after lights out at night. Mine rummage around for food all night off and on.

What temperature are you keeping them at?

Also give some water stats and maintenance routine. It will save time later.

Hi

I know there not eating as the food is still there the next morning, i have a brand called ocean nutrition they used to eat fine.

My stats are
Amonia=o
Nitrite=0
Nitrate=3.0
PH=6.5
Hardness=300
Temp=25C

your ph. is a little low, but i dont see anything wrong otherwise

Keep Peppered Corys in the low 20's/70's or lower. They are a cold water cat.
Is that you out of tap ph? If the ph was higher where the Corys came from/were bred they could be adjusting to the lower ph. It can take awhile for that adjustment to complete. A permanent change in base ph can take months.
