Cory Fry & White Cloud Mountain Minnows

hi all,
my 16 peppered cory fry are 17 days old now and are getting quite big.at the weekend my bro bought me 7 white cloud mountain minnow (there not that much bigger than my fry).once theyv stayed in quarentine for a week would it be ok to put the white clouds in with the fry,as the fry tank is bigger than the quarentine tank?

i cant put them in the main tank just yet as i have 4,5"goldies & im frightened the goldies would eat them as there so small.the goldies are going to a pond mid april which is when i can add the minnows & maybe fry (depending on there size) to the main tank.i dont wana take them back to the lfs as i quite like them & think that in a months time they would make great tank mates for my cories.

i could just leave them in the smaller tank for a month,which is planted & has a filter/air stone etc if theres any chance my fry could get picked on or eaten.

any opinions welcome & much apprechiated! x

I don't think it's a good idea. Cory fry are delicate, especially while they are tiny. They are also easy targets for any fish that are larger or inclined to think of them as food. It's usually best not to take a chance.

I once tried to save some week old guppy fry by putting them in with a batch of cory fry and the attacked them. It surprised me because I never thought these babies would do that.

hi inchworm,thanx for that info,as always you come to the rescue with your wisdom!i think il leave my little cory fry on there own then.there my pride & joy & i aint gona take the risk of any other fish eating them!!!the white clouds can stay where they are for a month,thers plenty of room for them in the tank since there only small.know what you mean about MTS.i started off with 1 tank with goldfish in,then i added peppered cories so out came another tank for the eggs/now fry,now theres another tank with the white clouds in
only bonus is that once the goldies go,the white clouds & fry (eventualy) will go into the main tank so il be back to one tank again,god knows how long for tho!
will be nice to get some of my kitchen work top space back tho,damn tanks are taking over!!!!!!!!!!!!
