I have had a couple of corys for a week now and they are just starting to get used to their food.

I started them off on Hikari Wafers but I also realised that every fish would take a bite.

I have then fed them bloodworms from frozen and they like them quite a lot, like most fish in the tank but I can at least see them eating them!! I am hoping they will start eating the wafers as soon as they hit the deck in the coming weeks but until then I am just going to put half a wafer in, whilst the danios and platys have been distracted by flake food, and then add some frozen bloodworm to their diet maybe evry other day. Half a cube is LOADS for a couple of corys and the others like it like I said!!

My 5 gallon tends to have the same problem. What I've found though is that if I feed the others first and them make sure they're nice and full, I'll slip in a Hikari sinking wafer for the cory. The others will start trying to eat it, but then get too full and the cory can eat down the rest.

Hi ghent_3rd :)

It sounds like your corys are doing well. A good part of their diet should be bloodworms, or other frozen or live food, and that will do your other fish good too. As far as the Hikari wafers go, don't hesitate to put in enough for all of them, if your other fish like them. They are excellent food.

Thanks Inchworm!! :)

they do seem to be doing good and I absolutely love little corys, they have got such a good character and are very interesting little fish to watch shooting round the tank, looking through the gravel for little bits of scrap!!!

Adding couple more corys over weekend I think.

I got this fish bug really bad now, even thinking of taking a self-learning OATA qualification to open up my options a bit!! :teacher:
