My albino corys keep laying eggs on the sides of my tank glass i have sat watching a few times as they do this. The eggs stay there for a few days then dissapear i presume eaten. Is there anything i can do to stop the eggs been eaten and to actually get them to hatch ? Can anyone advise me please.
Thanx Sue
Your very best bet would be to set up a separate breeding tank for them. Here's a link to a thread where I describe the setup I use. It works out very well for me.
I just take some gravel from my bigger tanks and set it up with the box filter while the corys are in it being conditioned. Then, I remove them after they have spawned and vacuum out the gravel. With the bare bottom tank it's a lot easier clean up after them than with gravel, and since you will be doing small daily water changes, the fry tank does not need to be cycled.
IMHO, there are few things more wonderful than watching a tank full of young corys at play! Lots of luck to you.
