i know cory cats are supost to be kept together but can you keep one by itself? and how big do they get in a 40 gaoolon aquarum.

Hi bUcky :)

I would not recommend keeping one cory by itself. They are schooling fish and tend to be nervous and sometimes shy when they are alone. This is stressful and could result in an early death.

Most corys get to be between 1 1/2" to 3 1/2" in length, but their size depends on what species they are. :D

Get a minimum of four Corys and you'll see their normal, natural behaviour... they may even breed!... one on its own will be miserable...
