I have a group of 15 green corys.  They are 4 months old-I raised them from eggs-and I'm planning on keeping the best 6 for my future breeding group. They are already over an inch long and very healthy. I heard 9-12 months at least for females (males are shorter).   Your thoughts?

In my experience they start to be sexually mature around 9 months, some species a little later.
The first spawn is usually small & has a larger percentage of unfertilised eggs, once they get the hang of it the spawns get larger & more frequent

Males, at least in my experience mature faster.
But around 9 months sounds right for the girls.
