One of my corys has displayed a behaviour where it very rapidly turns onto it's side and rubs it along the sand. I'm pretty sure it is a female as it was starting to have a nice fat belly and I was looking forward to eggs. Now I am having second thoughts if this may be some sort of parasite in it's skin that is causing the behaviour.

Hi Kuhni :)

When corys flick on the substrate it's more often than not a problem with the water quality. I would suggest doing one or more good water changes and vacuuming the bottom. This alone is likely to clear up the problem, which in itself is not serious, but which can cause a cory to become ill if it's not corrected.

Please let me know if that helps. :D
