I watched the video, but I have not seen any pre-covid videos of the inside of an Italian emergency ward to make any comparison.

The A&E ward is not for longterm patients, and never has been, this is self explanatory. Furthermore it's not just Italian hospitals that have been filled up, it is other countries too.

I just see people in a hospital, and the reporter insisting that these people are all dieing of covid. It doesn't prove anything and for all I know could be a set from the next Steven Spielburg movie.

Anything could be a set for the next Speilberg movie, the reality is this is affecting multiple countries and multiple governments who opposed each other so there is little validity in a conspiracy theory.

As I said, there probably was a virus sent round, but it was deliberate and for the purpose of forcing everyone to obey.

If the virus hurts the powers that be to, then what is the point? Every government head is in the dirt right now because it is destroying economies.

Why? I personally don't believe in masks myself as I stated, however,there is no definite evidence from any scientists that they work or do not work.. If there was it would have been compulsory from day one. If you seen some please share a link..

If you don't want to be tracked or traced you should not have a mobile phone or computer. Facebook, Google, Amazon, Twitter, Apple, Microsoft (etc etc etc) do a far better job of tracking you than any half baked government effort - and yes they do sell your data. Just have a look at how many trackers are loaded on this page.

I don't think either of you read what I said fully. Proper masks aren't 50/50, they absolutely work. I've never heard any indication from the scientific community that they don't work. If you have legitimate scientific sources suggesting that masks don't work, please share them.

As far as the track and track thing, I heard something interesting recently. Essentially, for any good or service you obtain for free, you are the product. People understand there's no such thing as a free lunch yet they never question why Facebook is free. It's free because Facebook can take all the data it has on you, e.g. your habits, likes, dislikes, location, wealth, friends, etc. and sell it to third parties.

On a side note to the other posted regarding masks, I know the science is 50/50 however I just don't see in my non-expert opinion how a mask is stopping microscopic particles from flowing past the mask into the air as a lungful of air full of any given virus is expelled in 2 seconds flat... Medical masks are not bio-hazard masks such that one would use in say a chemical warfare situation so what's the point?

Masks do work to reduce the number of microscopic organisms being breathed out. They might not stop 100% but good masks like surgical masks do stop a lot. If they didn't work, then millions of people around the world would get infected by their surgeons when being operated on in hospitals. That doesn't happen because they wear masks made from material.

The masks usually have multiple layers of fabric that are put down on different angles so if something gets past the first layer, hopefully it gets trapped in the second layer. They use a similar design on HEPA filters in vacuum cleaners and air filters.

In Victoria, Australia, they had a second wave and everyone had to wear masks when out in public. Because of the masks in public and telling people to stay home, they have managed to get daily cases down to almost 0 (there was 1 new case yesterday), and they did it in a month.

There were 61,000 new cases here in the US and 917 new deaths on Tuesday. It' worsening here, not getting better. France, Italy and the UK have also seen large increases of new cases recently. Methinks we will soon be seeing an even larger second wave. Not good.

Once you get more than 100 cases per day in a town/ city, you aren't going to be able to stop it unless you lock down the city. People just spread it and there is no way to stop it unless you lock down.

Agreed, not good. This is the second wave, we may hit 100,000 cases in a couple weeks. As the quote say, Trump may be done with the virus but clearly the virus is not done with us.

I highly doubt the USA will achieve herd immunity without a vaccine, that would require ~260 million people getting the virus. We current have 8.5 million cases. Currently there are two Americas right now. Where I live, western New York, the vast majority are wearing mask and new cases are high but not out of control (1,200/day). As states like Texas go out of control, the governor which have no other option but to lock down.

Hopefully in 2 weeks when the election will be over, a new norm will settle in. Emotions are quite high right now.

I have seen several times now articles showing both sides of the coin and no conclusive article at all.

Exactly right, however you only need to win the lottery ONCE to be setup for life.

Infected with what exactly? When people work in hospital and even catering environments they are expected to report it to their seniors and are taken off the job, or at least that's how it works in the UK.

Nature Magazine would fall into the category of "mainstream media", so yes, of course, according to them masks will work.

On another note the article I posted has like 22 references.

I once read if you touch a door handle immediately after a person who has a cold touched it, you get it. I NEVER kiss people at social interactions, not even relatives and I've had like 10 colds my entire life. Good effort for a 38 year old I say. I think maybe had the flu once (I say I think because of no official diagnosis, just spent a few days in bed) because it was REALLY bad. I had measles and german measles. Measles was a bad experience, I awoke fine yet whilst out shopping the spots developed which was pretty fast, I thoguht anyway, anyway I had aches, very sensitive eyes, I had to put the TV brightness setting to its minimum when watching TV at night and in the day my mum who looked after me as a 11 yo kept the curtains shut and I spent most the day in a blanket not looking at the TV she was, but just listening in. Had fevers sometimes, which is a weird expeirence, you feel cold but are actually boiling hot and mum force-fed me ice lollies lol. Oh, and kept on stopping me wrapping up in the blanket.
