Corner Tank Lighting (reef)

I'm looking for a lighting solution for my Aquatlantis bow fronted corner tank, I've spent many hours trawling through various web sites, but still not found a suitable lighting unit.

I'm looking for atleast 5 watts per gallon, around 8 watts per gallon would be even better, tank capacity is around 70 gallons, so I'm looking for a lighting solution of around 350-500+ watts.

Measurments of the tank are, Height 60cm x Width 122cm x Depth 86cm, my ideal lighting unit would comprise of 2x150 MH, and 4 T5's but with this being a corner tank size is my problem.

If there is anyone out there who has a similar tank, and has found a lighting solution, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Try looking further down the board in the marine section.

Watts Per Gallon is not a good way to go when doing reef tanks. The lighting requirements will depened on the livestock. 60cm is quite deep and you will probably want a Metal Halide light on that (250W for serious and SPS growth). Thr problem you would have is that it sounds like a "system" which will probably have a fairyl thin hood preventing you from placing the MH any good distance from the water.

Thanks, I'll check out that section, all the lighting units I've seen and have the right wattage come in 48" lengths, and would never fit over the tank.

Guess I'll keep searching, but I have a feeling some DIY is gonna be needed... eek!
