Ok seen as my mum said I cant move the angel or any of the tetras into my 8.5 g (Dont even go into it)

I was wondering how many cories could I have in a 8.5g bearing in mind I will have 1 betta.

Were you thinking of the smaller cories... like pandas? You could maybe put in 5 or 6 of them. They only get to 1.5" or so. Some of the other varieties get bigger, so obviously you'd want to go with less of any that are bigger.

Whichever species you choose, make sure there's room for at least 3 as cories are schooling fish. They also prefer a sandy substrate where they can sift through the sand for any goodies and you can grin as they throw it back out through their gills.

IMO cories are a wonderful, fun to watch and highly underestimated fish.

Guess what? We can go into whatever we want. If you can afford cories, buy another tank and force it on your mother. You should NOT, if your mother is so against proper fish care, bring any more fish into your house. Perhaps when you get your own place, you can get some fish.

Don't like the truth? His mother will not allow him to move an angel and 14 tetras out of a tiny, less than 10 gallon tank. What makes you think any other fish he brings into the house won't end up in the same tank? He's just 14, he can't control what his mom does - no one's saying it's his fault.

Hi everyone. :)

I'm going to ask you to please stop talking about the angelfish situation. SimonA is well aware of what he needs to do in that regard and has already said that he is looking for a larger tank.

This matter was discussed on another thread and the comments got so out of hand and abusive that I was forced to lock it. I do not want to have to do that again.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Inch, you did see at the start of this post HE brought it up again. He implied that nothing was going to be done. I think he's pulling your leg about a new tank.

Okay, I'm done. Do we have an ignore button?

It will go into my tank not my mums tank and that 5 gal in my sig is my mums (minus the betta)

I am seriously thinking of leaving this place, cation dont you think I know this it seems like 1000 people have told me this and I cant do anything about it that sums up the activity of this forum in the past week. This forum is going way downhill.

It is people like you cation that make me want to leave. I hope this forum improves soon as it is just getting crap.
