depends on the surface area of the tank. I think one large corie, not pigmies or pandas, per square foot is a nice qty, give or take a couple
in my 3 foot 50 gallon tank i keep five with 2 bolivian rams and a commin pleco... i could probably make room for 2 more but they are happy campers right now

We dont have the same tanks and measures in the USA as UK folk and other Queen's kids. I have no idea what a juwel 400 is--although I'm guessing it is 400ltrs?
Some of us use tags after the number to indicate what we are measuring in, some use the dimensions. I usually use the tags: usg=U. S. Gallons (smaller than Brit Gallons.)
