Just researching my fish whilst the tank is cycling & I'm after some cories but I'm struggling to find the ideal type... first the tank is 130ltrs, 52x39x62 LXWXH in cm, I automatically thought a nice group of around 8 Pandas but after looking into them, they like a temp no higher than 22-25c & considering the Bolivain ram I so desperately want likes 24-25c I thought I'd be pushing it slightly temp wise so are there any better suited to the size tank & temp ?? p.s I have a sand substrate.

Don't worry: there are some other cories you can try: sterbais (can be kept even with discus and they need high temperatures). These are easiest to get but other cories include: amapaensis or oiapoquensis. Brochis splendens (a cory type fish) also can tolerate higher temperatures and is also quite common.

Looked at the Sterbais & I like them a lot, more to the point so does her indoors as she thinks tropical fish are "bland" in colour.... How many of these should be kept in a group say 7 ??

I would say 6-8, no more than 10 if you want to stock several other species, as they are much bigger than Panda's.

If you are having the rams and the cories, I would go for a tetra shoal to have all fish from the same region. You could even turn it into a biotope tank with the appropriate decor for that region. Shortly I will do something similar but an asian biotope with loaches, rasboras and gouramis.

Yea was thinking along the lines of Cardinal or Rummynose... I've been told Neons would be eaten by the rams due to the size ??
