Cories okay with a sponge filter

Im planning to keep some cories with my betta, it will have a sponge filter in it is this enough for the cories? I dont want to get a filter too strong as the betta does not like a strong filter.

should be fine i have kept my cories with this kind of setup for a month now, unfortunately one died a couple of days ago, not sure why but otherwise my other 2 are doing fine
