Cories & Kribs

I want to set up a 55gallon Krib tank but I would love to have cories. Can Cories and Kribs mix? It would be heavily planted and have bogwood and rock formations

corys do best in groups of 6. you could quite easily get 6 and a breeding pair of kribs in a 55Gallon tank

breeding pair of kribs can fit in a 2ft tank with 2 corys and 2 keyholes and 2 dwarf gouramis and 2 rams

I would never recommend mixing corys with any kind of cichlids.

I would recommend against mixing Corys & kribs, in my experience the kribs spend most of their time beating up the corys

The problem is that a pair of breeding kribs are going to get territorial- and corys have no understanding whatsoever of territories. They are going to go blundering straight into the kribs' nursery and probably trying to snack on the eggs. At which point the kribs will go berserk.

My albino corys never had a problem with my Kribs/Firemouths or even my Convicts. They went about their cleaning duties and the others just sorta watched from above
