Hey =) all of my 4 cories top fins have started like.... getting thinner and like look like there fins have been attacked... could it have been he betta or adfs?

Hi Vixen :)

Please give me more information about your tank and fish. How big is your tank and are there any other fish in it? What is the temperature and the ammonia, nitrIte and nitrAte readings, if you know them? How often do you vacuum the bottom and do water changes? When was the last time you you did one and how much water did you change?

Do you see any other unusual symptoms on any fish or frog in the tank?

It's difficult to tell what is wrong with a fish without actually seeing it and watching it's behavior. Information provides us with clues and the more information you can provide the more accurate the diagnosis will be. :D

My ADFs snap at my cories all the time.

The only time there was any damage to their fins was when one of the cories got stuck between 2 pieces of bogwood. -_-

They have since grown back perfect, but I did increase water changes in their tank to twice a week. :)

OK the readings were:
nitrite:0.1
nitrate- 100
ammonia- 0

after water changing the nirtrates increased to 250 :S (last night) but... i dont know why

There is one siamese fighter and 3 frogs in with the four cories.

its weird.... this has never happened before....

Hi Vixen :)

Did you test the water right from your tap as well? If not, give it a try.

ok i will... i had a ADF die last night so i moved all 4 cories to the 10gal down stairs and they seem ok.. i only moved them because one of the metaes fins were almost transparent.
Eventhough i lost A frog... i could only find one other in the tank... out of 3 i can only find one....

ill check the tap water when i get home... (with or without treating the water fro chlorine?)

Sory to hear about your ADF :byebye: My ADF's go missing all the time too! Whats with that?!? I re-aranged the slate in my tank the other day and I only found 2 out of 3, but they're fairly new so I suppose then need a few weeks to get used to the tank before they start comming out comfortably.
