Cories Eating Ramshorns

hi, will corrys eat ramshorn snails? if so what particular species eats them (common name please). because i would like cories and have ramshorns that i can use as food! thankis.

You can crush small ones against the glass and they will be readily eaten. Careful, though - larger shells will cut you when you attempt to crush them. - F.
 
which ones take the snails more than others? julii? sterbai? etc. my other choice would have been some loaches but i want to see which cories love snails. when you crush them do you not get lots of bits of shell in the tank?

They all eat them. It takes a while for them to shred the meat, but they do quite well at it.

"Love?" Not a word I'd use. They eat them. That's about it. lol.

Yep. If it's a tank with sand, I don't care. If it's a bare-bottom tank, I'll get the bits when I siphon. - Frank
 
Do remember that if you crush snails then any eggs they are holding are released and will still survive!!! I remember when I used to crush them wondering how on earth they could still multiply so quickly.

Then I read up and started removing them instead. I have no ramshorns now. Only MTS which I intentionally put in there. lol
