I have a group of 6 angels that I want to put with my school of c. habrosus.

Would this be ok?

I'm worried because I know they eat smaller fish. But I have never heard anything about them with small cories.

I have Angels with the smaller Cory arcuatus and there's no problem there. My Angels are big enough to gulp neons but they don't bother the Corys at all.
How small are they? Are they babies or are they fully grown? How big are the Angels?

The angels are still small probably 2" at most right now. But you still have to think about the future when they are bigger.

The cories are an inch long.

Are your arcuatus young and are the angels young too?

Is that including fins? Mine are about 3" and the oldest Cory is close to fullsize while the other two are half way there. They have gulped almost inch long tetras but the Corys are too big, even when they are small, their bodies are not thin and slender like the neons. Keeping Angels and Corys are not supposed to be a problem at all :) The only problem I've had is that the Corys don't tolerate salt in the water while I would love to add some since the Angels get a lot of "war wounds".

Yes that is with the fins.

And arcuatus are 2" cories so not much of a comparison to habrosus. Habrosus are half their size.

I was hoping their "sausage body" would deter angels from eating them. As like you said, neons are slender but cories are fatter.

While the angels probably won't bother the corys I'd be more concerned about the difference in temperature that both do best in.

That is true. Although I keep my angels at 75 and my habrosus at 72... would that be too much of an increase for the cories. And is that too low for angels? I know they do like higher temps. They seem to be doing fine and don't huddle around the heater..

That's actually the low end for angels. I'll drop breeders that low to give them a rest, and feed lightly, about every 3 days. If you don't feed anything really protein heavy at that temp they will do OK. It should be fine for the habrosus, the problem will be getting a more protein rich diet down to them without the angels getting at it.
