Hi guys. I was thinking, what is the best equipment for fish only system?
still new to SW :book:
OK... here the things I'll need:

1. Sump with Mud with ceramic rings
2. Skimmer
3. Powerheads
4. UZ sterilizers
5. Air pumps

I dont know if i got it wrong,

:thanks:

Unless the air pump is for the skimmer then you don't really want it, using airstones and pumps tends to lead to salt creep.

I myself am not a fan of ceramic rings in a marine tank, Live Rock is the best filtration to have in any salt water setup (except well managed algae setups).

The benefits of UV are somewhat debated as to just how affective they are.

My list would include:

Live Rock
Skimmer (as big as you can get on a FOWLR)
Pumps (either powerheads or closed loops) for turnover
Sump with some form of nutrient export (algae of some sort)

So ur saying that I dont Need are pump
i was talking about fish only tank?

You don't need an air pump. Bubbles will act like a skimmer and cause 'yuk' to build up on the surface. Agree with no ceramics. You could get away without a UV sterlizer if you developed excellent water husbandry techniques, but, I wouldn't say no to buying one on that size tank. SH

UV sterlizer will kill the LR Bic??

No, the UV sterilizer will kill bacteria and parasites and help keep incidences of disease lower in your tank. They are usually not reccomended for tanks under 50 gallons...
