I think I may have posed a similar question before but cannot find it, anyway it may be useful to ask again for other members.
Will Euphyllia type corals have an adverse effect on my cleanup crew. Will they get stung by the corals sweeping tenticles or are they immune to such. Just asking for future reference as I wouldn't like to loose any crabs or snails.
Replies appreciated.

sweeper tentacles should not cause any problems to clean up crew but will cause issues to other corals that get touched by them.
Euphillia corals generally produce sweeper tentacles in tanks with lots of water movement. If you decrease the water movement around them they are less inclined to producing them and sending them out.

Cheers Colin,
I already know about the positioning and relationship issues with some corals and thats not my concern, I was just suspect of the sweeper tentacles toward livestock. Good to know about the relevance of the water movement in regards to Euphyllia.
Many thanks

Euphyllia genus corals pose little to no threat to living livestock. They can eat samller dead things though. I've seen a large australian hammer coral try and eat a silverside before....

my clownfish live in my Euphillia (Hammer) coral. They swim around in its tentacles and don't have any issues. They even steal food from it.
You can feed torch corals with little bits of marine food, prawn, fish & brineshrimp, etc.
