I know this is probably the stupidest thing I could ask but . . . How do I stop coraline algae from growing. Its growing everywhere. And its making my tank a annoyinh pink hue. Not attractive and I want it stopped. Any help would be appreciated.

take a heavy object and throw it as hard as you can into the side of the tank.it should stop growing at that point.lol jk.

there are some pros in here that will help you.I have had great luck just keeping it off the sides and front by just using a magnifloat every day even twice a day.But the back is pink! Its a good thing!

hahaha! This tank gave me so many problems that I wanted to throw something through the side of it!!

I really need to get this under control. I hate the pink look!!! I feel like my Scopas Tang is modeling in a victorias secret strore.

Well, you'll need a metal scraper for the glass, and as mentioned, an urchin for the live rock. Give yourself a round of applause though, cause having a tank with water conditions good enough to cause coraline algae explosions is not easy. Good work :good:

a dry tank works well, or fresh water :], urchin and razor blade isa ll you can do really

Thanks everone. I'll be elbow deep this weekend scraping this stuff off of everywhere.
