I bought a couple 30 gallon tanks recently and with them came a Coralife Aqualight 2x96 watt PC fixture. It was used for saltwater, so the bulbs in it right now are 10,000K and an Actinic.
I am contemplating setting up a Marine tank, since I've got the light. I could use it for a planted tank as well I guess, so long as I only use one bulb (that would be 3.2wpg) and added Co2.
I am going to set up an African Cichlid tank, but I think this light is way to powerful and will only cause insane algae growth. I'm really not sure what I should do with this thing. Is there anything else I can do with this light?
