What type of hard coral is purple colored with some light green?
A couple months ago I was buying LR and the lady asked me if I wanted some coral frags. I said sure. But I still don't know what type it is. Any help?
Also, on part of the coral (that seems to be dead) a clear-white sheet of algae-like growth is growing on it. What is it?

Nevermind, I think it's coralline algae.

You are right that is coralline algae and the bottle of purple up is a big waste of time and money. Steer clear of purple up!!

What does it do? Just higher phosphate so algae can grow?!
