Coral Sand ?

well i was going to run a freshwater tank. but decided salty is more interesting. i have put some plain black gravel in my tank , but i have been told i need * coral sand * which i can get hold of cheap locally. but ... do i need to take all my gravel out and ONLY use coral sand ? or can i mix it ?

Yer ive herd of them its basically to stop build ups forming in the gravel. only issue o would of thought though is inverts diggin too deep lol.

Yes bin gravel, no don't bother with live sand, get ordinary aragonite sand. Any live rock you put in will soon colonise the lsand.
