Coral Sand Or Sand?

[totally tropical]

Firstly my apologies, I know this may not seem like an emergency, but I have 2 bags of sand which I will be giving away today, only if I need to.......

I have decided to go with haps and peacock for my malawi 300 litre tank and wish to know which substrate is best and why? They live in the open water.

Coral sand or sand? I have posted on the correct board, but have had no replies for quite some time now so I thought I would give you guys a go as I will be setting off shortly.
