ive got a few questions about my corals and how close i can place them all. i know that all the euphyllias should be ok near each other. is this true? at the moment i have 2 torches, 3 hammers and 1 frogspawn from that family. can i literally place them so that when their sweeper tentacles are out, they would probably touch the surrounding euphyllias?

what about the bubble coral? i have read that this has short sweepers so it can be placed closer to other things. are these ok in a close vicinity to the euphyllias or should i keep them away?

i also have fluffies, morphs, a bubble tip anemone. a duncanops and some blastos. what amount of space do i need to leave for things. at the moment i am being very generous but i have been looking at some reef tanks lately and everything seems so crowded and closer together than i thought things could be.

I would leave space between all of them. Mine have just enough space between them so that not to touch each other when fully opened.

Well, short answer, some will be Ok, some won't, and the only way you can find out is to try it.

Most likely, the hammer will be ok next to the other hammer, but will likely attack the others. The frogspawn and the 2 hammers will likely play nice though. If you put them close and see them retracted or swinging out sweepers, just move them. They can survive a few days of "battle".

As for the bubble coral, it will not be compatible with the other euphillia. Is it the normal bubble (with the 1cm white bubbles), or the toothy bubble (small ~3mm bubbles with tentacles in between). The toothy bubble does not have very long sweepers at all, maybe a cm or two, but the normal bubble coral has sweepers 5-10cm long. Look for them at night shortly after lights out.
