Coral Beauty Dwarf Angel not eating

Hi Guys,

Well title says it all, recently purchased an Angel and I can’t seem to get him to eat anything. Have tried: Frozen Brine Shrimp, Frozen Mysid Shrimp, Flake foods, Dried Seaweed and even as a last resort - Algae tablets and all the little bugger will do it spit them back out.

Every text I had read said that it will eat anything, well mine must be stubborn. At the moment it’s heavily picking at algae on the rocks. Any ideas what to try next?

First of all, how recently did you get him? - it is not unusual for fish to not eat for a few days or even a couple of weeks.

Secondly, he may be getting enough to eat from grazing your tank.

Thirdly, what other fish are in the tank?

Was he eating in the shop? - if so what?
